Die sichtbaren Hände

Before, I wouldn't have thought that I would do something that was also concerned with care work. It seemed like something too personal. But then it imposed itself. Now I think it really doesn't make sense to put the experience of being a mother so much in a different category from other experiences related to wage labour. Especially because I keep hearing myself say that I now understand all the better why there have been (and are) struggles to understand care work as labour even when it is not paid. Nevertheless, I have to get over myself a bit in order to not dismiss it as a private matter.
